Karla Tittums has called Carnarvon her home most of her life. One of our founding members, Karla is a well-respected member of our Community and brings a wealth of professional experience from her roles as Alcohol and other Drug Counsellor with the Carnarvon Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS).
This role saw her administering prevention and early intervention strategies within the Justice System (Diversion Program)
Karla has also held positions with the Department of Child Protection, and more recently as Project Officer at the Carnarvon Common Ground. Having worked for and alongside Carnarvon families since she was 17 years old, Karla knows what Carnarvon’s priorities are on a grassroots level.
From her current tenure as Director at Nganhurra Thanardi Garrbu Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, Karla also brings valuable knowledge of corporate governance applicable to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
On speaking about her role as Director, Karla says ‘I’ve worked in Community Services for 30 years, and I’m at that point where I want to give back to the community, and as a Director I really enjoy working alongside our members and our community’
